Based in Toronto, Emma was born in China and moved to Canada at the age of 15. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, she embarked on a journey through various roles within the fashion industry.

Prior to starting her consulting business, Emma worked at Holt Renfrew as the Marketing Manager - Asian Market since 2017, where she built Holt Renfrew's marketing strategy tailored to Chinese customers from scratch. This involved seamless collaboration with internal departments spanning Sales & Promotions, Visual Merchandising, Creative, Content, Paid Media, PR & Events, and the store teams. In 2022, Emma led a Lunar New Year campaign which has won Silver in Best Branded Content in the Media Innovation Awards. She also fostered intricate partnerships with external stakeholders such as various Chinese social platforms, Chinese payment partners, influencers, and luxury brands—including La Prairie, Gucci, Dior, Loewe, Roger Vivier, Jo Malone London, and La Mer.
